My name is Jasmin and I’m the new volunteer at MFR.
I’m from Jena, a mid-sized town in the middle of Germany and turning 19 this summer. I finished my Abitur/Le Bac this spring and want to study medicine and become a gynecologist. But first, I’m taking a year off to volunteer at your school.
One of my favorite things in the world are horses, so I’m really excited to not only meet all the students and staff at MFR, but also the horses 🙂 I’ve been riding for seven years, mainly dressage but not competitively, and I’d love to keep in touch with the horses and the sport while abroad. On the photos you can see my favorite horse in the world, Ludwig.
Aside from that, I’m really into nature and love hiking and camping. I read a lot and do creative little projects. Some other passions of mine are cooking, writing, music, photography, painting and drawing as well as biology and medicine.
In my free time I volunteer at the Red Cross as a paramedic (at sports events, i.e. football games). But mostly I just hang out with my friends.
I was lucky enough to travel a lot from a young age to many different European countries and often to France, where now part of my family lives. My French is far from perfect despite taking French class for five years in school, but I’m sure that being at the school will improve my skills fast 🙂
I’m super excited for my year at MFR and I look forward to getting to know all of you 💖
